WHAT IS LME INVENTORY AND HOW ITS AFFECTING COMMODITY SEGMENT?
LME INVENTORY DATA IS A FORECAST DONE BY ANALYSTS BEFORE THE ACTUAL DATA RELEASING OUT.IF THE ACTUAL DATA IS ABOVE OR BELOW THE FORECASTING DATA THERE SHOULD BE GOOD MOVEMENT IN COMMODITY PRICES AND IF IS IS CLOSE TO EXPECTED FIGURE THE CHANGES WILL BE MINIMAL
THE LME DATA OUT BY 9 am GMT NORMALLY
Eg : Copper inventory forecast data is -225; actual report comes as +100. Interpretation = there is more inventory than expected. that is "more supply is there than demand "In this scenario, Copper price would react sharply on the downside
LME warehouse stock changes are:
COPPER DOWN 1950
TIN DOWN 150
LEAD DOWN 1075
ZINC DOWN 5600
ALUMINIUM UP 9100
